Information we collect
Website (tendaigumunyu.co.za)
- Contact form submissions: name, email address and message.
- Newsletter subscriptions: email address.
- Analytics: anonymised page views, device information and referral data via Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics.
- Harmony of Saints account data: email address and display name used to create and secure your account.
- Harmony of Saints app usage: favourite hymns, playlists and preferences stored to your account so they can sync across devices.
- Device data: app version, operating system version and crash logs collected by Google Play services to keep the app stable.
- Harmony of Saints does not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, SMS or call logs.
How we use your information
- Create and secure your Harmony of Saints account and let you sign in across devices.
- Save hymns, favourites and playback preferences to your account.
- Respond to enquiries submitted through the website.
- Send newsletters you have subscribed to. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Diagnose crashes and improve the reliability of the app and website.
Data protection and encryption
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Account passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never stored in plain text. Access to backend systems is restricted and logged.
Third-party services
We work with a small number of trusted providers:
- Google Play Services for app distribution, crash reporting and licensing.
- Web3Forms for delivering website contact form submissions to our inbox.
- Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics for aggregated website usage statistics.
- We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with advertisers.
Children's privacy
Harmony of Saints is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
Account data is retained for as long as your Harmony of Saints account remains active. Contact form messages are retained for up to 24 months. Analytics data is aggregated and retained according to Google Analytics defaults, currently 14 months.
Your rights and account deletion
You can request at any time to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your Harmony of Saints account and all associated data.
- Unsubscribe from newsletters.
- To request deletion, email constantinegumunyu25@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Harmony of Saints account". We action requests within 7 business days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change.
